Dough Instructions
  1. Mix together the dry ingredients.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and combine it with the vegetable oil, vinegar and water.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients well,
  4. Make a hole in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet ingredients.
  5. Stir the dough together with a fork, then knead lightly into a ball.
  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough sit in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Makes enough dough for potato or meat filling. Double recipe if you are making both.

Potato Filling Ingredients
Potato Filling Instructions
  1. Peel potatoes and garlic.
  2. Put both into sauce pan with just enough water to cover.
  3. Boil until potatoes are soft but not mushy.
  4. Drain and let cool.
  5. Mash potato and garlic.
  6. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  7. Fry onions until golden.
  8. Add to potatoes and mix well.
  9. Let cool.
Meat Filling Ingredients
Meat Filling Instructions
  1. Fry the onion until golden.
  2. Add the meat and garlic.
  3. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Cook, stirring and crushing it with a fork, for about 8 minutes, until it changes color.
  5. Stir in parsley.
  6. Let cool.
Assembly and Cooking Instructions
  1. Put a generious amount of flour on a clean flat work surface and on your rolling pin.
  2. Take about a cup of dough and roll it out thin.
  3. Cut out circles (2½″ for potato, 3½″ for meat).
  4. Put in filling and pinch closed.
  5. Repeat previous steps until all dough and/or filling is used.
  6. Bake on parchment paper at 350° for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
