Step 1
- Measure the length of chain needed to go around the person's head. Separate
that piece of chain and set it aside.
- Measure the length of chain the reaches fron the hairline in the front center
to the end of the hair in the back. Separate that piece of chain and set it aside.
- Divide the first piece of chain you measured in half making a Left and Right
piece (see Figure 1).
- Divide the second piece of chain you measured into three pieces(see Figure 1):
- Front piece reaches from the top of the head to the hairline in the front center.
- Top Back piece reaches from the top of the head to the chain that circles the head.
- Back piece reaches from chain that circles the head to end of the hair in the back.
Step 2
- Connect the Left, Front and Right pieces together with a 5mm jump ring.
- Connect the free end of the Front and Top Back pieces together with a 10mm jump ring (a lot more
pieces will eventually connect here).
- Connect the free ends of the Left, Top Back, Right, and the Back pieces together with a 5mm jump ring.
- Connect the free end of the Back to a tassel, coin or other item to act as a weight.
- Stick a pin in the top of the wig head and put the headdress on the wig head. If any of the chains are
twisted, open the jump ring where they connect and fix it.
Step 3
- Remove the headdress form the wig head and put it on the person's head.
- All of the chains should be taut, the front should fall at the hairline in the front center
and the end of the back chain (not the weight you attached) should fall end of the hair in the back.
- If any of the above is not correct, measure the amount a chain that you need to add or remove.
- Put the headdress back on the wig head and make the corrections. Remember that you need change the sides,
you must add or remove the same number of links ftom the
remove the same number of links from the Left and Right
pieces.
- Repeat these steps until the headdress fits correctly.
